Singapore is a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), an economic and political bloc of 10 countries in the region.
Currently, there is no unified ASEAN visa, so travelers still need to meet each country’s individual entry requirements.
Plans are underway to introduce a single ASEAN visa that will allow eligible travelers to visit all 10 member states, including Singapore, with one electronic travel permit. The new visa is expected to be applied for online.

It is recommended to apply at least 30 days before your planned travel. Once approved, print a copy of your eVisa to present at border control upon arrival.
If you are not eligible to apply online with the assistance of a Singapore-based sponsor, you must apply for a visa directly through a Singapore embassy or consulate.
Most travelers to Singapore may need a visa depending on their nationality, but citizens of certain countries can enter visa-free for short stays. Check the list above to see if your nationality is eligible.
Eligible travelers can visit Singapore for tourism from 30 up to 90 days with an approved SG Arrival Card.
For longer stays or visits for purposes other than tourism—such as work, study, or residency—you must apply for the appropriate Singapore visa. This also applies to travelers in transit who plan to leave the airport.
Passengers from the Commonwealth of Independent States, Georgia, India, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and certain Chinese-administered territories are exempt from a transit visa for stopovers of up to 96 hours.
