Egypt Tourist Visa Information

The Egypt eVisa is an official electronic travel permit introduced by the Egyptian government in December 2017 for tourism purposes.

With this online system, travelers can conveniently apply from home without visiting an embassy. Applicants can choose between a single-entry eVisa or a multiple-entry eVisa. Each entry allows a stay of up to 30 days, while both visa types remain valid for 3 months from the date of approval.

The application process is quick and user-friendly. It only takes a few minutes to complete the online form, where you will need to submit your passport details, basic personal information, contact data, and your current occupation.

Please note: if you plan to visit Egypt for reasons other than tourism, such as business or official work, you must apply through an Egyptian Embassy or Consulate.

Requirements to apply for an Egypt e-Visa.

Applying for an Egypt eVisa online is fast and straightforward. Travelers only need to meet a few basic entry conditions. Most importantly, your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date you plan to arrive in Egypt.

Once approved, the eVisa is digitally connected to your passport and a copy will also be delivered to your registered email address.

It is recommended to print out the eVisa and carry it with you when traveling, as Egyptian border officials may request to see it on arrival. You must also enter Egypt with the same passport used during the application process, since the eVisa is electronically tied to that document.
